Hub Plaza expected to be complete by end of construction season

The Urban Renewal Agency is a tax funded non-political agency mandated to resolve slum and blight and to promote economic development in the downtown core of Mountain Home. The agency was formed when Marathon Cheese came to town. As the company grew the tax base became higher giving the URA a positive cash flow. Over the years they have used these funds to purchase and restore the old Kings building that now houses Bealls Department Store and has redone all of the curbs and sidewalks to make sure everything is ADA compliant.

Two and a half years ago the board members had a vision to bring some type of downtown plaza similar to The Grove in Boise.
