Continuance issued in Schultz case

Donald Robert Schultz is accused of Murder II in what was initially a missing persons case in Mountain Home, Elmore County. The case continues to be an ongoing investigation. Schultz had a Preliminary Hearing on July 24. At that time, Public Defender, Mr. Terry Ratliff, asked for a continuance as they had been notified that the state prosecution would be filing additional charges to the initial 7 on record.

After his client waived his right to a speedy trial a new arraignment for the additional charges was scheduled for July 31, with a preliminary hearing now scheduled for Aug. 16. Jail records show an additional five counts of grand theft.
