Civic Groups make Budget Presentations to City Council

Friday, July 5, 2019

On Monday, June 24, the City Council met in Chambers for their bimonthly meeting.

After Mayor Rich Sykes called the meeting to order he asked if the Council members had any comments. Councilman Jimmy Schipani commended the artists painting the alleys in Mountain Home and is eagerly awaiting the presentation on July 4th.

During the old business discussion the Council discussed its partnership with Elmore County for the South Fork Water Permit and the Anderson Dam Raising. Mayor Sykes announced the Council had met with the Elmore County Commissioners last week to discuss the partnership. Mayor Sykes asked the Council how they felt about the partnership. “I feel like it is very important for us to partner with the County, the meeting was very informative,” said Councilman Schipani. For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
