Jerry Kencke Memorial Show: Tribute to Local Artist
For June, the Art Source Gallery of Boise is featuring the photography of Jerry Kencke, a life-long resident of Mountain Home, in a memorial tribute to itís oldest gallery member. Jerry passed away in March, but not before he had created a completely new body of work.
The image you see here reflects his imagination and unique eye. Can you guess what it is? Hint: it is not a train trestle.
In 2013 Jerry earned what he considered one of his most meaningful accolades. He was named a Western Masters Artist. He was the only photographer ever accepted into this fine-art organization with its 40+ year history of partnership with the Charles M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana.
