County prepares for possible flooding

Wednesday, April 3, 2019

Elmore County is not anticipating flooding from the spring run off, but have decided to be proactive just in case.

Sandbags are available in different locations throughout the county. Citizens will have to fill their own bags, but sand is available at the locations.

15 bags will be available per household, but more would be available if a property is under severe flooding conditions.

In Pine the bags are available at the Pine/Featherville EMS and sand is located at the county shop. Please call 208-590-3784 to pick up the sandbags.

Sandbags are also available at Oasis, the Public Works Shop in Mountain Home and at the fire department in Glenns Ferry.
