School Board discusses policy changes

Thursday, February 28, 2019

The Mountain Home School Board met on Feb. 19 at the school administration office.

The first item of the meeting was the swearing in of Vice Chairman Ralph Binion since he was not present at the last meeting.

Next on the agenda was the good news portion of the meeting where achievements and awards are brought before the board. West Elementary Principal, Nikki Cruser, brought three preschool paraprofessionals up for recognition.

She said Kelly Shaw, Beth Linares and Margaret Ottaway have helped dramatically change their preschool program. West Elementary previously had a long term sub who left and they hired a teacher who left as well. The number of students in the program has doubled and they currently have 13 students.
