During a school assembly on Jan. 31 four MHHS athletes signed letters of intent to continue playing sports at the collegiate level.

Anna Cook will be swimming competitively at the College of Idaho next fall. It is there she hopes to begin her pre-med studies with the ultimate goal of becoming a pediatrician. “Anna began her swim career with a Mommy and Me class, and her mom says you couldn’t keep her head above water because she loved the water so much. She simply was not afraid of the water. Anna says no one told her to swim, she just entered the water and found her home. Anna was fortunate to be part of the summer swim team opportunity available in Mountain Home through Parks and Rec which began back in 2010 thanks to the efforts of Jen Pittard. Competitive swimming requires year-round training, so she became a member of the Boise Swim Club in 2013, a year-round USA Swimming Club which swims on the Boise State campus.
