Blues in schools

The Boise Blues Society came to town on Jan. 17 to provide students at East and North Elementary schools with the opportunity to hear a concert and learn about the American form of music.

The society’s “Blues in Schools” program works with schools throughout the Treasure Valley to teach students about the history of blues music and how its has influenced future generations of musicians, the instruments played and to provide them the chance to hear music they may not come across in their daily lives.
