Continuance issued in Nutter case

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Joseph Nutter is currently being held on charges of lewd conduct with a child under sixteen and forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object.

Nutter had a preliminary hearing on Jan. 17. During the hearing, Public defense attorney Terry Ratliff requested a continuance due to receiving discovery late and needing a chance to review details of the case and discuss it with his client.

The prosecutor did not argue the continuance and Judge Epis allowed it, scheduling another hearing on Jan. 31.
