Commissioners meet with department heads

The Elmore County Commissioners held a meeting on Dec. 14, to discuss county business with the department heads. Several different departments were represented by a single individual who came up and gave a report on how their area was doing and brought forth any questions or concerns they had.

Pine-Featherville Ambulance Services coordinator, Brian Chevalier, said they hadn't received any calls in the past month. He asked to open a discussion to get volunteers some type of gas stipend. County Clerk Barb Steele informed him that for the county to be able to provide stipends for volunteers they would need to be an employee. This is an ongoing discussion.
