Senior Center says Thank You

Wednesday, November 14, 2018

Finally, after a long five months the kitchen at the Mountain Home Senior Center is once again in operation. We want to publicly thank everyone in the community who helped keep us going during this time. We could not have continued our Congregate meals three days a week and our Home delivered meals that included three hot meals and 4 frozen meals a week without so many helping out.

The Legion Post 26 and their staff went above and beyond by letting us use their facility for all our preparation and meals. The Open Door Fellowship Church were so kind to lend us a freezer to use during this time. All the Sr. Center volunteers who worked extra and carried menus, sign in papers, etc. back and forth between facilities, the volunteer home delivered meals drivers, you are each so special for all that you do.

Lastly and most importantly were our three very courageous, competent, resourceful, patient cooks who provided all those meals some days under some pretty difficult conditions. We could not have survived without them.

We are so appreciative of all in this community who helped us through this whole project beginning with donations, fundraisers, grants, etc., and then culminating during our remodel period.

We thank each and everyone for your commitments, care and concern for all the Seniors in Mountain Home and we look forward to seeing you all at the Sr. Center.

Sincerely

Kathy Wudyka
