Angela (Angie) Dawn Pope

Angela (Angie) Dawn Pope, passed away peacefully at the age of 43 on Sunday October 21, 2018, in Boise, with her immediate family by her side.

Angela Dawn was born January 13, 1975 in Boise, at St. Luke's Hospital. As a young child, Angela lived in Missouri, California, Germany, Montana and finally came home to Idaho where she graduated from Mtn. Home High School in 1995. She then moved to Boise, where she attended ITT Tech. and then Boise State University for a bachelor’s degree in English and Writing.

She got married in 1996 to Thomas Israel Reese of Boise, while pregnant with their daughter, Makenna. Four years later in 2000 they welcomed their son, Jaden into the world. Angela and Thomas divorced in 2002 but remained friends until her death.

Angie was a kind and gentle soul who loved gardening, writing and poetry, going camping and fishing, music (such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles to name only a couple of her favorites), and celebrating holidays with her family (her favorite holiday was always Halloween). She had an infectious, kind smile and beautiful green eyes that penetrated the soul.

She will be dearly missed by many. She loved people and being able to interact with them. She held many jobs during her lifetime including being a single parent and loving mother, as well as a devoted daughter and friend. She worked at Citibank in Boise, for 16 years; she then waitressed at AJ’s Restaurant in Mountain Home, for two years.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather and uncle.

Angela is survived by her two children: Makenna Reese and Jaden Pope-Reese, both of Mountain Home. She is also survived by her grandson Benjamin, her sister Renae Pope, her parents Michael and Pamela Pope of Mountain Home, her grandmother Cherie Pope of Pine, and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins of Verona, Wisconsin.

Celebration of her life to be held at the American Legion Hall Post 26, 515 E 2nd S, in Mountain Home from 1pm until 3pm, on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
