This Month in history: The Mountain Home News goes digital

In the late 90s' staff at the Mountain Home News were still meticulously cutting out each piece of the newspaper and copying and pasting them to grid paper before taking a photo to put it to negative. In this photo each headline, column ad and photo are separately cut and placed.

Like any industry that has been around as long as the journalism field has, the newspaper industry has changed a lot over the years. Some of the biggest changes have came since the beginning of the 2000s as technology has leaped forward at a mind boggling pace.

I recently got a crash course in how the paper used to be put together before everything was done on the computer and boy did it look like meticulous and time consuming work.
