Mountain Home couple in fatal motorcycle accident

On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 12:10 PM, Idaho State Police responded to a crash on westbound I84 at milepost 17, near the Sand Hollow Exit.

Christopher Pierpont, 42, of Mountain Home was riding westbound on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle. Christine Pierpont, 43, of Mountain Home was a passenger on the motorcycle. Christopher struck a construction barrel in the construction zone and lost control of the motorcycle. Christopher and Christine were thrown from the motorcycle and succumbed to their injuries at the crash scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Canyon County Sheriff Office, Canyon County Paramedics, Canyon County Coroner, and Caldwell Fire Department.
