Catherine Joan Robinson Fox passed away on August 13, 2018. She was born October 26, 1934 in Sauk County, near LaValle, Wisconsin, to James and Elma Robinson. Catherine was the second of nine children. In 1943, the family moved to Missouri, where the children attended grades one through eight in a one-room schoolhouse. Catherine was a good student and enjoyed mathematics most of all. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1952, and then attended the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Catherine was employed as bookkeeper by Safeway Grocers and later by Philips & Co. Electrical Wholesalers.

On September 30, 1969 Catherine married farmer and mechanic Virgil Fox in Ashland, Kansas. They soon moved to Loveland, Colorado where their son Neil was born in 1971. They moved again in 1979 to Jerome, Idaho where they were very active in the Jerome Church of God.

While attending the Church of God, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was most grateful for God’s grace, and attempted to live in His will and serve Him every way possible. This was especially evidenced in her compassion for children and the elderly. She volunteered at church Sunday and Vacation Bible Schools shuttling and mentoring attendees and later at Glenns Ferry schools, enlisted help of other volunteers and helping wherever she could. She helped elderly widows by cleaning their houses and keeping them company until her health no longer allowed it. She was outgoing, friendly, and caring, seeing everyone as a valuable child of God. She invested herself in everyone she met.

Catherine and Virgil moved again in 2003 to Glenns Ferry, Idaho, where they enjoyed their retirement in this lovely small community.

The memorial will be at 10 a.m. on August 25th at Glenns Ferry First Baptist Church. Memorial gifts can be made to World Vision.
