Gerald “Pat” Martin

Gerald “Pat” Martin, 62, husband of Ida Martin of Huntington, Oregon and longtime resident of Idaho passed away at his residence of natural causes on July 31st, 2018. Pat was the second of five children born to Nancy and James H. Martin on April 24, 1956, on the Alexandria Air Force Base, Louisiana. Pat is survived by his wife, Ida Martin, of Huntington, Oregon, his children and stepchildren, James “Jamie” W. Martin of Springfield, MO, Mylana McArthur and Justin Waddell of Nampa, ID, Kristine Codi and Ian Dimick of Kuna, ID, Jakobe Martin of Boise, ID, Nicole and Phillip Jr. Hall of Boise, ID, Jeffrey Hastings of Ontario, OR, Lorna R. and Thomas Wurtz of Kuna, ID, Sergeant Brian R. Hastings of Fort Campbell, KY, and Erin Hastings of Jerome, ID. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Martin of Mountain Home, ID and three brothers, Jay Martin, Christopher Martin, and Larry Martin and one sister, Janell (Martin) Oehlsen and nine grandchildren and many extended and adopted family members. Pat was predeceased by his father, James H. Martin.

The celebration of life service will be Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 2 pm PST or 3 pm MTN at the Huntington, Oregon VFW Hall located at 205 1st St. E, Huntington, OR 97907.

Feeding the needy of Huntington was a huge passion of Pat’s, so in lieu of flowers, non-perishable donations of food for the Huntington Food Bank may be donated in Pat’s name.
