Accused Murderer's defense team motions for dismissal

On July 30, a motion for dismissal was held in regards to the murder charge against Scott Riggs. The defendants council asked the case be dismissed on grounds that the magistrate abused it's discretion in finding probable cause in the matter.

Riggs and his council presented that although he had purchased two knives in months prior to the alleged murder, it was a stretch to say this proved premeditation. The council also said the relationship between Riggs and Ferbrach was "good" and "friendly".
