Linda Sue Sielaff (Ford), was born on April 27, 1950 in Mountain Home, to the late Harold & Ray Ford. She went home to be with Jesus at the young age of 68 on Monday, July 16, 2018 of natural causes. Linda graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1968. She participated in drill team and was active in school, even though they moved eleven times in six years to follow her father’s career.

Linda was the wife of Phillip F. Sielaff. They were high school sweethearts and were married on October 14, 1969. After being married, they served 4 years in the U.S. Navy living in Mountain View, California and Oak Harbor, Washington. Together they were on a race car team, and she worked at the Navy exchange. They were going to make the Navy a career, but Linda found Phil a job in Mountain Home, so they moved home. They resided there for a short time before moving to Boise, for thirty-six years. She devoted her heart, soul time and well-worn wooden spoon to raising her three darling boys. After her last wooden spoon, she then worked at Target. If you needed something on clearance, she was your go to. She knew where to get the best deal, and usually had five in her personal inventory. She served children in the lunchroom program at local Boise schools and always served seconds. Her generous spirit and giving nature touched many lives.

She retired after they built their dream home in Pine, Idaho, where she adopted every hummingbird and became known as the Bird Whisperer. She lived there until returning to Boise in 2015. Linda is survived by her three sons and their families, Brian & Bonnie Sielaff (Hayden, Landon, Dawson, Ella, Olson) of Boise, Kevin Sielaff (Ava, Isabelle) of Boise, and Gabe & Tasha Sielaff (Jared, Autumn) of Boise; brother, Glenn and Joyce Ford of Boise; and sister, Sharon Farnham of Mountain Home. Linda was known to her grandchildren as Oma.

Linda had a love for all animals, but especially dogs. She leaves behind her dog, Patches. She loved to travel especially to Disneyland and Eeyore was her favorite character. She could dance like a star, and had a laugh that was infectious and could shop, party and garage sale like a pro. Her grandkids and family were her life and foundation. Oma, we love you so much, you will be missed.

Friends and family are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Calvary Chapel Boise, 123 S. Auto Drive, Boise, ID. Rost Funeral Home, of Mtn Home is handling arrangements for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Idaho Humane Society to help animals in need.
