Elva Viola Waters McAnulty

Elva Viola Waters McAnulty, 86, passed away July 10, 2018 at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Wendell, Idaho. Graveside inurnment service will be held at the Glenn Rest Cemetery in Glenns Ferry, on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 am. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Elva was born and raised in Mountain Home. She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1949. She worked in personnel and later as a base supply clerk for the Unites States Air Force at Mountain Home Air Base. She was known for her amazingly fast speed of typing on a manual typewriter. She married Lester McAnulty in 1957 and had two children Stephen and Diana. She worked for many years for her brother producing the Mountain Home News. She was a homemaker during her married life. She lived in Glenns Ferry until 2002 when she moved to Gooding, later moved to Bliss on her daughter and son-in-law’s ranch in Bliss in 2007, and then to Stonebridge in Wendell.

Elva McAnulty is survived by her son Stephen (Jo Vette) McAnulty, daughter Diana (Daniel) Butler, and step son Russel (Kathy) McAnulty and several grandchildren Dustin McAnulty, David Butler, Dale Butler, Demsie Butler, Colleen Krause, and Danika Bauman, and great grandchildren Justin Krause, Courtney Krause, and Stacia Bauman. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Stonebridge and the staff of Auburn Crest Home Health and Hospice.
