Danny Lee Thompson, 60, of Grand View, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at a Boise hospital. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Rimrock High School. Arrangements under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home.

Danny was born June 5, 1958 in Nampa, to Jack and Fay Thompson. As a young boy, he was taught the value of hard work on the family farm. He attended Nampa High School, where he enjoyed being a member of the Spanish Club and even got the chance to go on a class trip to Spain. After high school he met the love of his life, Debbie Adams, while cruising the strip in Boise. They were married that fall. Dan and Debbie farmed lots of land from Melba to Murphy and then eventually settling in Grand View. Dan was injured in an automobile accident, leaving him paralyzed, but it did not stop him from continuing his love for farming. Although he could no longer drive a tractor, he took over the irrigation and loved to drive around and look at the fruits of their labors. Together they raised 3 wonderful children, Jennifer, Kristy and Brian.

He was a wonderful son, husband, father, papa, uncle and a friend to all who knew him. He will be missed beyond words.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie, his father Jack Thompson, his children Jennifer (Mike) Stocke, Kristy (Colin) Lahtinen, and Brian (Sarah) Thompson, his grandchildren Aubrey, Wyatt, Davin, Kaity, Braden and Luke, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and great friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Fay, his grandparents, his in-laws Howard and Mary Adams, a sister in-law Carolyn Colaric and several of his aunts and uncles.
