Laurence Edward Robinson (Robbie)

Laurence Edward Robinson, 84, of Mountain Home, passed away Friday May 25, 2018 at St. Luke’s Elmore. He was known to his friends and family as “Robbie”.

Robbie was born in Portland Maine on February 22, 1934, to George and Janet Robinson. He had two older siblings, Roger Robinson and Don Robinson.

Robbie grew up in Portland Maine, graduated High School, worked in the Strand Theater as an usher with his brother Don and loved spending time with his Fiancé Elaine Jollotta.

Robbie joined the United States Air Force in 1952. After a few years in the Air Force, he married the love of his life, Elaine, on April 19, 1956.

A few of the places the Air Force sent the young couple to live included the bases that their children were born at. Louisiana- Larry Edward (oldest son), Texas – Lisa Marie (daughter), Nebraska- Zachory “Lee” Edward (youngest son).

After the birth of their 3rd child, they lived in Maine for a little while and then the Air Force moved the family to Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.

After 21 years of service in the Air Force, Robbie decided to retire and chose to stay in Mountain Home. Robbie then went to work for the Mountain Home School district as Head of Maintenance.

Some of Robbie’s favorite hobbies were collecting coins and model cars. Robbie also loved his daily “coffee time” with his dear friends: Judy Lacks, Gene Dockstader, Preacher (Gene) Parsons, Luther Jones, JC, Ida, Dan “the subway man” and Tina James. Robbie’s smiling face and kind heart will be missed by so many.

Robbie was survived by: his oldest son Larry Robinson, his daughter Lisa (Robinson) Berry and her husband Greg Berry, his youngest son Zachory “Lee” Robinson and his husband Scott Bodily, his brother Don Robinson and his wife Nancy, his nephews Jerry Robinson and his wife Cathy, Mike Robinson and his wife Dawna, Kevin Robinson and his wife Lynette, Darren Robinson and his wife Sharon, his grand-daughters Alisha (Berry) Truskowski and her husband Karl, Alexis (Berry) Aldrich and her husband Terry, and his first great grandchild, Alisha and Karl’s son Brighton. Proceeded in death by: his loving wife Elaine, his parents George and Janet Robinson and his older brother Roger Robinson.

The family will be holding Robbie’s memorial service in July on Saturday the 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
