Two troops from Mountain Home had the chance to compete at the 71st Annual Camp Wilson event the weekend of May 4. Troops 57 and 157 competed in an obstacle course, a first aid challenge and much more while camping in the mountains of Pine and Featherville, wrapping up the weekend with a barbeque on May 6. A number of scholarships were also awarded, including a senior scholarship to a Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry graduating senior, both in the amount of $750. A donation was also made to American Legion Baseball, Mountain Home Youth Baseball All Stars and Mountain Home High School and Glenns Ferry High School's senior celebrations, all in the amount of $200
The barbeque drew a large crowd as people enjoyed a roast seasoned with a special blend of spices, potatoes and onions, which was cooked underground.
