Wednesday, May 2, 2018

On April 26 the Mountain Home Senior Center hosted a political forum before the upcoming primary elections on May 15.

Mike Hollinshead was the master of ceremonies for the event which saw a variety of candidates who are vying for positions statewide. Among them were gubernatorial candidates Lisa Marie, who is running on the Republican ticket, and AJ Balukoff, who is running as a democrat.

Shelley Essl is running unopposed for the County Clerk position, but showed up to ask for the community's support.

Debra South, County Assessor candidate, was not able to make the meeting due to prior commitments, but her son-in-law Scott Cody represented her at the forum. South's competitor Josh Dison was present to ask the community for its support in his run for office.
