County P&Z discusses proposed subdivision

Friday, April 13, 2018

On April 4, the Elmore County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on a proposed subdivision off of Frontage Road.

The meeting began with commission member Ed Oppedyk recusing himself from the matter due to him living within the area of impact.

Jim Carrie is planning to develop 65 acres into 53 residential lots ranging in size from one to two acres each. There will also be around six common lots that will be used for landscaping.

This is not the first time the proposed development has come before the commission. In May 2015, it was denied by the board and then denied by County Commissioners when Carrie appealed planning and zoning's decision.
