Multiple issues of importance addressed at commissioners

Thursday, March 29, 2018

The March 23, meeting of the Elmore County Commissioners was busy with department head meetings in the morning and a public hearing on the reconsideration of the conditional use permits and development agreement between Cat Creek Energy LLC and the county for a three part alternative energy project up near Anderson Ranch Dam in the afternoon.

Julie Lisle, fair manager, gave the commissioners an update on the upgrades that are planned for the fairgrounds. Plans are currently in the works to upgrade electric and sewer to existing camping and vendor sites while adding as many additional sites as possible.

This plan worried the owner of Trail Break R.V. Park, Michael Huskisson, who was concerned that the county would be in competition with the three existing parks in Glenns Ferry.

Huskisson took advantage of the time commissioners alloted for public comment and came to the meeting to ask them about their plans and to express his concerns as a taxpayer and businessman.
