Easter brings warm spring air and good cheer, which create the perfect setting for Easter egg hunts. Three Easter egg hunts come to our community this year; three in Mountain Home and one in Grand View.

The Grand View Lions Club is sponsoring this year's hunt, featuring candy-filled eggs and the Easter Bunny himself.

The hunt will by March 31 at the Eastern Owyhee Library and Grand View City Park, starting at 10 a.m. Children from toddlers to fifth graders are welcome to attend. For more information, call Dixie McDaniel at (208)834-2350.

The annual Easter egg hunt for Mountain Home will be on April 1 at Carl Miller Park starting at 2 p.m.

Hosted by Sabre Lodge #7 Prince Hall Masons, the hunt includes a seperate area on East Elementary grounds for those under five years of age. A limited amount of baskets will be available, so parents may want to bring their own. For more information, please call James Rentie Jr. at (208)590-0330.

The Mountain Home Public Library will host two hunts this year, both on March 30.

The first hunt will start at 9:30 a.m. for children up to six years of age, and the second will begin at 3 p.m. for those of all ages.

Both hunts will be held at the library and will include stories read by library staff and the Easter Bunny.
