On the evening of March 14, Mountain Home got a rare treat when the Treasure Valley Concert Band presented "Music Stars" with help from the Mountain Home High School Band.

TVCB is a wind instrument band made up of musicians from all walks of life.

While most are musical educators they also have an attorney, engineers, a nurse practitioner, businessmen, an archaeologist and many more in different occupations.

The band, which is in its 38th season, performs three regular concerts a year, then travels the Treasure Valley performing the same music in different communities with help from members of the schools' music programs.

The performance in Mountain Home was the first time any current member of the band remembers performing here though they promise it won't be the last. For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
