Helicopter makes rocky landing on Highway 51

A California Air National Guard HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter from the 129th Rescue Wing based out of Moffett Air National Guard Base, California, experienced a hard landing approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, south of Mountain Home, ID on Hwy 51. It has been confirmed that there are no injuries to the six crew members.

The incident is currently under investigation.

    Did you verify this at all? Was down that way the other day and the helicopter is about 1/2 mile off the highway sitting on the side of slope. You can see it easily from the highway as you travel south. It appears that at no time did it land on Hwy 51. It looks like there is little damage to it as well.
