The Elmore County Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation held their annual banquet on March 10 at the Mountain Home Elk's Lodge.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's mission is "to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and the American hunting heritage."

They do this by conserving and enhancing natural habitats, promoting sound management of wild, free-ranging elk and educating both its members and the public about conservation, the value of hunting ethics and wildlife management.

The yearly banquet raises money to help the foundation meet their goals of promoting wildlife and hunting both locally and nationally. In it's 26th year in Elmore County the foundation raised $88,056.78 on Saturday night.
