"What does it mean to be African American in 2018?" This is the question the mayor of Boise chose to address at the 29th annual Black History Month banquet.

Mayor David Bieter was welcomed into Elk's Lodge on Feb. 16 at the guest speaker for this year's Black History banquet, put on by the Mountain Home Community Black History Committee. As a guest of the head table, Mayor Bieter joined Col. Joseph Kunkel and his wife, Mayor Rich Sykes and his wife as well as committee members Joe and Mildred McNiel.
