Mountain Man Wrestling Club off to a successful start and a promising season

The Mountain Man Wrestling Club has been a main stay of youth sports in Mountain Home for years. Though the club has a long track record and some of the athletes came into the season with several years experience, many more are brand new to the sport this year.

The sport of wrestling takes a great deal of determination, perseverance, practice and hard work. All of those traits are strong in the children, coaches and parents who make up this club.

Recently, all of that hard work paid off.

On Jan. 27 the team traveled to Payette for the largest, non-state level competition, tournament IDAWAY wrestling has ever held. 511 wrestlers from Southern Idaho traveled to the small town to take part.For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
