Charles “Chuck” Liercke passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018.

Chuck was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. He was one of four children born to Ray and Ruth Liercke. As a young child Chuck moved with his family to Southern California, where Chuck grew up riding motorcycles, farming and learning to fly airplanes.

He met and married his wife Sue in Banning, California on Nov.10, 1960. Chuck and Sue called many places home. First in Southern California where Chuck continued mastering his career as a carpenter. Then up the coast to Auburn, Washington where they spent many years and finally calling Mountain Home their home for the past 21 years.

Chuck loved his career as a carpenter and shared that love with all his children and extended family by teaching them his craft. To him it was a true family business.

Chuck’s true passion was flying, to him flying was being free. When he talked to you about it, his face would light up as if he was in the plane at that very moment.

Chuck is survived by his sister Linda, his children; Chuck Liercke Jr. (Saundra), Ray Liercke (Kim), Ronnie Liercke (Kristy) and Rhonda Pitzl (Tracy). His grandchildren: Chuck III, Bob, Joe and Jon; Conor and Lauren; Casey, Jessica, Lindsey, Allison, Madison and Dawson; Sydney, Samantha and Morgan. As well as many great grandchildren, and extended family.

Chuck is preceded in death by his beloved wife Sue Liercke, both his parents, his sister Bonney and brother Terry.

There will not be a memorial service per Chuck’s request. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
