Missing pets in Mountain Home

Tuesday, January 23, 2018

An alarming number of pets, especially dogs, have gone missing in the past few weeks in Mountain Home. Currently the Elmore County Sheriff's Office and the Mountain Home Police Department are jointly working an active investigation on the case and little information was available by the time the Mountain Home News went to press.

Residents are urged to practice "safe pet parenting skills." It would be for the best to leave animals inside or in locked enclosures when you are not home during this time. Accompany your animals when they are in the yard or take them for walks instead. Watch for suspicious activity or items being thrown over your fence. Keep an eye on your animals and on neighborhood pets. Please be very aware of the situation and actively vigilant in keeping the community's animals safe.

We will continue to seek additional information to keep the community informed.
