It’s coming up on that time of year when snow and ice invade our community.

Many of you may look forward to snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snowboarding and skiing during the winter. Though many homeowners, city/county workers and renters may dread shoveling snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways and steps.

Snow, and especially ice, pose a significant hazard during the winter, which is why many homeowners and property managers rely on using salts or other de-icing chemicals to melt away the hazardous ice on sidewalks and steps.
