New WECRD Directors chosen during public meeting

After years of contention about the Western Elmore County Recreation District over how taxpayer's money is spent and the lack of a recreational facility, voters decided to recall two of the district's directors during the Nov. election.

Following the recall vote Governor C. L. "Butch" Otter requested Elmore County Commissioner's recommendations on who to appoint to one of the two vacancies.

After a lot of thought and discussion between commissioners and audience members at a previous public meeting Commissioner's and their staff planned a "town hall" meeting.
