Publishers Pen: We are thankful

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our advertisers and readers that support the Mountain Home News, The Mountain Home Patriot, mountainhomenews.com and the Family Line.

We are a small business like many of our neighbors. We appreciate our subscribers to the Mountain Home News and the advertisers in all our publications and on our website. Without our advertisers and subscribers, we would not be in business and able to do our jobs.

The Mountain Home News is the official publication for Elmore County, and we will continue to reach out to our community to partner with other resources to bring you vital news and information as well as your advertiserís specials and sales.

Beginning the first of the year, we will be realigning our energy and resources into two publications. Effective Jan. 1, 2018, the Family Line shopper will cease publication and we thank you in advance for your continued support of the two publications we will continue to circulate.

The Mountain Home News is the weekly subscriber paper providing news and advertising to your home. We also have multiple dealers across town where you can pick up a weekly copy.

The Mountain Home Patriot currently provides news and activities for our Gunfighter military neighbors on Mountain Home Air Force Base as well as the large retiree community in Mountain Home. This publication will see a revised circulation in distribution, but it will remain available on base at various distribution spots as well as in town where our veterans and military neighbors frequent.

These changes will go into effect the first of the year, and we will continue to serve our readers and community.

I would also like to thank my staff as they are the backbone of the Mountain Home News. It is their energy, dedication and their get-it-done attitudes I personally appreciate. They are dedicated individuals that give up many evenings and nights, along with their busy days, to provide you with our publications.

Thank you and have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
