Mountain Home citizen Scott Riggs was charged with felony first degree murder on Aug. 25, 2017 in connection with the death of Paula Ferbrache — his case is ongoing.

After the original preliminary trial on Oct. 6 was rescheduled due to a continuance, various search warrants, affidavits and motions were filed. Riggs' first preliminary hearing was held last Friday, which included a barrage of law enforcement personnel to ensure "everything went smoothly," according to Sheriff Mike Hollinshead.

Another preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 2, 2018 at 9 a.m. in the Elmore County courthouse.
