Vicki Jo Campbell, age 68, of Mountain Home, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at St. Lukes Hospital, in Boise. A celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the American Legion Hall, Post #26, located at 515 E. 2nd South, in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Vicki was born December 23, 1948, in Mountain Home, to William “Bill” and Dorothy Nelson-Boykin, where she grew up and graduated from high school. Outside of being stationed with her family in California for 3 years, Vicki spent her entire life in the house she grew up in, in Mountain Home. The last 10 years she enjoyed going on trips with her sister and good friends Willeva Macy and Ellen Keaster. All 4 also spent many hours crafting and experimenting with new recipes.

Vicki’s passion was making crocheted afghans and she was proud that she donated several hundred to the Ronald McDonald House and The Idaho State Veterans Home. She was a 44 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #26 and was a very active volunteer with her sister.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Dorothy Boykin. She is survived by her one sister Carol and her husband Frank Dalton, daughters Clorinda (Elio) Tapia, and JoAnn Tellez, grandchildren; Sylvia Tapia, Junior (Lizette) Gomez, Jennifer (Miguel) Gonzalez, Michael Tapia, Alex Tellez, Ana (Milley) Hernandez, Adam Tellez and 14 great-grandchildren.
