Budget finalized for fiscal year 2017-2018

After an Aug. 14 public hearing and months of work the budget for the City of Mountain Home fiscal year 2017 to 2018 was passed.

Broken up into five categories, the budget is working with $31,843,591 split between nearly 20 different departments and civic groups. The departments and groups are categorized based on purpose.

Operation funds cover the public service type departments, some of which generate revenue through income or grants, but none of them enough to be self sufficient.
