Remembering Mountain Home's fallen heroes

The line of duty can be a dangerous profession. It takes in ordinary people and turns them into heroes, peace keepers and defenders of the city. When those heroes pass on, whether in the line of duty or from natural causes, their death is mourned by everyone on the force.

In an effort to remember Mountain Home's fallen heroes, the Elmore county chapter of the Idaho Retired Law Enforcement Association, also known as the Apple Dumpling Gang, partnered with the Elmore County Sheriff Office to create plaques in memory of fallen officers, which were unveiled at a dedication the morning of Aug. 16 in the foyer of the Elmore County Sheriff Office.
