Let's give families a chance to grieve

In the past week, our community was delivered a shock to our sensibilities with the news of a murder and suicide involving two of our community members.

It is with sadness in our hearts that the Mountain Home News family sends hopeful thoughts and prayers for the healing of the two families who were most impacted by the events of last week.

We also join the Elmore County Sheriff's Office in sharing a message they have stressed over the past few days. We ask the public to join us in allowing the families of Justice Marie Gump and Anthony Alen Johnson to grieve in private after such an impact on their lives.

We should do nothing less.
