Lifesaver award

Sheriff Mike Hollinshead presents the American Legion Lifesaver Award to Deputy Garret Kinnan during a county commissioners' meeting on Friday. American Legion Post 26 submitted Kinnan's name for the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award after consulting with the sheriff on which deputy was most deserving of the award, said Jack Schafhausen, American Legion vice commander for the Department of Idaho. Awards were given out July 15 during the Legion's yearly convention and banquet for the recipients.
