Nelda Flock

Nelda June Flock, 88, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Ashley Manor Assisted Living. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Nelda was born in Shelley, Idaho, on July 28, 1928, the oldest of three children of Orin and Althea Humphreys. The family moved to Hammett, where she was raised and attended school.

Nelda worked various jobs in the area, but her main career was a homemaker. She married Donald Flock of Hammett and help on their farm in the area.

Donald and Nelda adopted their daughter, Donna, in June 1963. They took family camping trips when time allowed them to leave the farm.

Nelda was a kind hearted women and was active in her local community throughout much of her life. She loved to crochet and would make blankets for the local community.

She was a strong role model in her grandchildren’s lives and always offered love and guidance to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Flock; her parents, Orin and Althea Humphreys; her brothers, Leon and Lavone Humphreys; her first husband, Wallace Davis and two sons; her step-daughter, Patricia Morris; and her stepson, William Flock.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lambert of Kuna, daughter-in-law Nancy Flock of Spokane, a son-in-law John Morris of Glenns Ferry, numerous nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at Pioneer Federal Credit Union to help cover funeral expenses.
