Trial planned for local man accused of sexual assault

scheduled to stand trial in September on charges that he sexually assaulted a juvenile female known to him through personal relations.

Robert W. Lynch, 36, remains in custody at the Elmore County Jail following his arrest June 11 on charges of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, Lynch is accused of having sex with the juvenile female starting in October 2016 when she was 15 years old. The initial incident allegedly happened shortly after he assumed full custody of the teen.

  • I was 15 at the time and now I'm almost 21 and this still haunts me at night when I sleep. They should've kept him in jail where he belongs, because when my cousins were little he did it to them as well.
