'Ladies and gentlemen... the Beatles'

The sounds of the Fab Four fill the air over Carl Miller Park as the members of West Abbey Road take the stage during a concert Friday evening. The Beatles tribute band helped the Mountain Home Arts Council launch its 40th season during the first of three concerts planned over the next three weeks. Honi Deaton & Dream bluegrass band was originally scheduled to play that evening but had to cancel after Deaton was injured in a car accident earlier that week. West Abbey Road, which features two members originally from Mountain Home, agreed to step in at the last minute and perform some of the Beatles' best-known hits.

Doug Davis uses a melodica, or keyboard harmonica, as the group performs "I Should Have Known Better," which made its debut on the album "A Hard Day's Night" in 1964. The tribute band's opening numbers recaptured the Beatles' earlier music with the second set focused on songs that appeared on the "White Album" and the albums that followed in the late 1960s.
Darin Gere recreates the sounds made famous by John Lennon as the band performs "She Loves You" during its opening set.
