Athletes earn medals at state Special Olympics games

Nearly two dozen athletes from Mountain Home took home dozens of medals as they competed in this year's Special Olympics state summer games, held recently.

The track and field event comes as the Mountain Home team continues to grow and remains one of the larger teams in Idaho, said Stacy Bauer, co-local program coordinator with the High Hopes team.
