Ronald Bayliss

Ronald J. Bayliss, 79, of Mountain Home, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at St. Alphonsus Hospital, in Boise. Ron's ashes will be scattered on his family's farm in Upstate New York. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Ron was born in Provo, Utah, on July 4, 1937, to Ronald and Jessica Bayliss (Grant). After becoming an orphan at the age of 14, Ron was raised by Clifford and Minnie Bragg.

Ron joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in the 1950s. During that time, he lived all over the country.

After working several different jobs, he began working for ConTel (Verizon Wireless) Phone Company. He believed in hard work and began climbing poles but ended up as a manager, where he helped switch out the last analog phone in California before retiring.

Ron was extremely active in his church, Prince of Peace Ministries, in Mountain Home, where he was a minister. He loved people and would always give a helping hand whenever needed. He, alongside his Pastor, went to the nursing homes weekly to teach bible study on Monday nights.

Ron was the church administrator and he would always give words of wisdom and truth to those around him. Ronald Bayliss will be greatly missed.

Ron leaves behind his daughters, Jessica and Kerensa Bayliss; three stepsons, Bob, Tim and Carl Mitchell; two ex-wives and many close friends.

Ron is preceded in death by his beloved cats, Tigger and Tabby.
