New community family field day set for June 10

St. Luke's Elmore Medical Center introduces a new public event on Saturday as it holds its first-ever community family field day.

Free and open to the public, the event begins at 9 a.m. with a one-mile fun run and walk at Richard Aguirre Park with people able to register at 8:30 a.m.

The family friendly event aligns with the hospital's mission of getting people more active and healthy as they participate in a number of interactive activities that day, said Cassandra Wenner from the medical center's community health office. It also shows people that it doesn't take a lot of money for them to adopt this healthy lifestyle.
