Tigers earn honors at state tourney

Coach Jody Wolfley poses with members of the Mountain Home under-10 girls' soccer team following their win during the opening round of the Idaho State Director's Cup tournament, held earlier this month. The team remained undefeated during the state competition to finish first in their division. In the championship game, the team was dealt a loss to finish second overall. Members of the team are Jessica Taylor, Amanda Bonn, Breanna Farnworth, Allie Morlock, Hailey Eresman, Kalen Trombly, Brielle Wolfley, Alysa Jumonville and Megan Howell.

The Mountain Home Tigers track and field team claimed a state championship title with other athletes earning additional medals during their appearance at this year's state tournament, which ended May 20.

Sable Lohmeier was named the state champion in the discus throw with an official throw of 140 feet, four inches.

Other state finalists included Jaden Wright, who finished fourth in the pole vault with an official height of 13 feet, 6 inches. Rachel Johnson was fifth in the women's pole vault with a nine-foot vault.
