Airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base render honors as the National Anthem plays during a Memorial Day ceremony Monday morning. Hundreds of people gathered at Mountain View Cemetery to honor the memory of America's fallen veterans.

Members of the American Legion Honor Guard fire off a 21-shot volley as the ceremony concluded.

Representatives from local veterans group presented wreaths as part of the annual observance.

Retired Air Force Col. Dale Smith, a Vietnam War veteran, was this year's guest speaker.
